GIIS KL campus transformed into a wonderland of wit and talent as the Mr. &amp; Ms. Cambridge competition reached its epic finale on March 30th, 2024. This grand showdown, held during the &quot;Reading is Magic!&quot; Open Day in collaboration with BookXcess, was a celebration of all things bright and brainy! 
&nbsp;

The day began with the semi-finals, where 20 talented students&nbsp;&ndash; 10 from Primary and 10 from Secondary &ndash; competed in two exciting rounds: 
&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Ballroom Attire Round: This round exuded elegance and grace, with participants captivating the audience with their confidence and polished demeanor.</li>
	<li>Talent Round: This platform for pure creativity allowed students to showcase their hidden talents, from captivating presentations and musical performances to impressive displays of dance and artistry. 
	&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

Perfectly aligning with the school&#39;s 9Gems framework, the semi-finals provided opportunities for students to express themselves artistically (Gem 3), develop their personalities (Gem 4), and showcase their innovative spirit (Gem 5) through their talent presentations. Additionally, these rounds honed essential public speaking skills (Gem 9), allowing students to communicate effectively under pressure. 
&nbsp;

The judges, impressed by the talent and charisma on display, meticulously selected only three outstanding individuals from each category (Primary Boys, Primary Girls, Secondary Boys, and Secondary Girls) to advance to the grand finale. 
&nbsp;

The grand finale round wasn&#39;t your average school quiz. The finalists were thrown a curveball &ndash; a knowledge test based on the country they represented in the preliminary round!&nbsp; This meant digging deep, pulling out all those fascinating facts they learned, and proving their cultural knowledge was on point. 
 
 
After an intense battle of wits, the judges crowned the following brilliant students as the champions of the Mr. &amp; Ms. Cambridge competition:
